Only the best for the best.

On Tuesday, Simone Biles revealed that she purchased a light brown Hermès Birkin bag, captioning the Instagram Story, “treated myself to a new lil bby while in new york.”

The Olympic gymnast, 27, who was in NYC for the VTEX Connect event on Monday, brought her husband, Jonathan Owens, 29, along to the store for emotional support.

“baby I was sweaaaating,” she added, referring to the big splurge.

Indeed, the famous designer bags, which were named after the late style icon Jane Birkin, come with a hefty price tag — styles similar to Biles’ will set you back around $30,000 on resale site Fashionphile.

Though she was nervous to make the purchase, this isn’t the gold medalist’s first Birkin bag.Simone Biles

After competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles celebrated becoming the most decorated gymnast in history by picking out her very first tote from the brand.

In August, Biles shared photos on her Instagram Story of her shopping trip to a Hermès location in Paris, showing different color options and then a private back room.

Though she didn’t reveal which style she chose, Biles did show off the brand’s famous orange box after securing the purchase.

A few days after the shopping spree, Biles revealed on Threads that her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, actually foot the bill for her the bag.

“don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents,” she quipped to haters. Simone Biles

Earlier this month, Biles was named Sports Illustrated 2024’s Sportsperson of the Year.

In the interview for her cover, the gymnast spoke about whether she plans on being a part of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what?,” she said. “I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”

Biles weighs her next steps after Paris Olympics

Simone Biles‘ triumphant return to the 2024 Paris Olympics solidified her legacy as the GOAT of gymnastics. After a challenging withdrawal from the 2021 Tokyo Games due to the twisties, Biles made an unforgettable comeback, securing three gold medals and one silver, becoming the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history. Her performance reminded the world why she’s a force to be reckoned with on the mat.

Despite this extraordinary success, Biles’ future in gymnastics has been shrouded in speculation. Fans eager for a definitive answer about her participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics have been left guessing. During an appearance on TODAY, Biles hinted at her aspirations, cryptically stating, “Hopefully we’re in LA together, whatever that means.” While this sparked hope for another Olympic chapter, it wasn’t a concrete commitment.

In a candid interview with Sports Illustrated after being named their 2024 Sportsperson of the Year, Biles expressed her internal conflict about continuing her Olympic journey. “If you go back, you’ll be greedy. Those are the consequences. But that’s also your decision to decide,” she shared. Reflecting on the sacrifices required to compete at the highest level, she added, “What’s really worth it? When you’re younger, it’s prom, college. Now it’s starting a family, being away from my husband.”Simone Biles

Biles balances family, fame, and the future

Biles married NFL safety Jonathan Owens in April 2023, and the couple has been each other’s biggest supporters. Owens, who signed with the Chicago Bears in 2024, was excused from training camp to be by her side during the Paris Games. Their relationship has added a new dimension to Biles’ life, making her consider the personal trade-offs of another Olympic run.

As Biles contemplates her next steps, she has hinted that the 2024 Games might mark her farewell to the Olympic stage. “I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again-and for what?” she mused. “I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”

Whether Biles competes again or not, her influence transcends the sport. She has set the standard for excellence, resilience, and grace under pressure. If Paris was indeed her last Olympic appearance, she leaves the mat as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

“When I started doing gymnastics when I was 6, I never imagined winning medals and everything I’ve been fortunate enough to do up until this point,” Biles said

Simone Biles inspired gymnastics everywhere with her recent acceptance speech!

While accepting her honor as Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year, the 7-time Olympic gold medalist gave a short, but impactful speech about her journey from junior gymnast to making history.

“When I started doing gymnastics when I was 6, I never imagined winning medals and everything I’ve been fortunate enough to do up until this point. I just wanted to have fun and hopefully get a college scholarship. I’ve kind of surpassed all of that, which is super exciting, but everyday I spend competing alongside my teammates is truly a gift, “ Biles said.Simone Biles

Taking time in her speech to give words of advice to the younger generation of gymnasts, Biles, 27, told them to push forward despite obstacles.

“No matter what life may throw at you along your journey, be the best person you can be, follow your passion, and put in the work, and you know that I see the gold within all of you,” Biles said to those in attendance, which also included long-time friend and former teammate Aly Raisman, who presented her with the honor.

Elsewhere in her acceptance speech, Biles shared loving words of thanks for her husband, Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens, and noted the rise and increased spotlight on women’s sports in 2024.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, Biles was named by Sports Illustrated as the 2024 Sportsperson of the Year, following her record-breaking performance at the Paris Olympics that served as a redemption from her early exit in the Tokyo Games where she experienced the “twisties.”Simone Biles

In the interview for the feature, Biles hinted that her time as an Olympian may have come to an end.

“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what? I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done,” the most decorated gymnast in history said of her chances competing with Team USA at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Simone Biles recently made an appearance during the Bears game against the Packers to cheer for her husband, Jonathan Owens.

The gymnastics standout was spotted at Lambeau Field attending the Bears vs. Green Bay Packers for a Sunday football blockbuster.

Owens had plenty of reasons to not be embarrassed, one of which was that he performed well, and his wife, Simone Biles.

The Olympic legend Simone Biles was recently joined by her husband Jonathan Owens, the football safety for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League. The gymnastics standout was spotted at Lambeau Field attending the Bears vs. Green Bay Packers for a Sunday football blockbuster. During the game, the Bears achieved a significant milestone as their placekicker, Cairo Santos; WR DJ Moore; Josh Blackwell; Caleb Williams; and Kevin Byard put on a great athletic display to ensure a 24-22 win over the Packers. Simone Biles

Owens also played a key role in the game as he returned the ball 13 yards to the 21-yard line after recovering it from the Packers’ wide receiver Jayden Reed. This win wouldn’t affect the Bears campaign that much; it has boosted the problems for the Packers for their playoff plans.

When Biles became a lucky charm for her husband and his team

After their win over the Packers, the Bears have ended their ten-game losing streak that started with a defeat against the Washington Commanders when the Washington metropolitan area secured an 18-15 victory over them in October 2024. During the game, Jonathan Owens played his small part in the win over his previous team by recovering the ball. However, the FB quickly became a laughingstock when he attempted the Packers’ famous celebratory maneuver, “the Lambeau Leap,” where a player jumps into the crowd, but it did not turn out as Owens expected, and the video of his botched celebration went viral on the internet. However, Owens had plenty of reasons to not be embarrassed, one of which was that he performed well, and his wife, Simone Biles, was there in the bleachers to witness his exceptional performance. Biles and Owens are two of the hottest couples of the athletic, and they are known for being supportive of each other, be it showing up for each other’s games or backing each other against critics on the social media platforms.

For her recent NFL outing, Biles once again wore a white Bears jersey like she did last time when she sported a customized outfit that was dedicated to Owens with his pictures and number etched on the dress.

Simone Biles ends the year with a heartwarming post on her social media handle, expressing her love for her husband Jonathan Owens, the Chicago Bears football safety.

American gymnastics legend Simone Biles once again shared her love for husband Jonathan Owens, the Chicago Bears football safety, as she bid farewell to an immensely successful year, 2024. Biles and Owens are one of the hottest athletic couples due to their love and support for each other throughout their careers and personal lives. Both Biles and Owens witnessed an incredible 2024, where the former became the most decorated Olympic gymnast for the United States after surpassing Shannon Miller with 11 Olympic medals, while the latter also proved to be an asset for his NFL team.

With all that being said, Biles recently shared pictures of how her 2024 looked, and her affection for her football safety husband was again on display. Simone Biles

The gymnastics icon took to her Instagram handle on Wednesday, January 1, and shared a streak of pictures featuring her most notable moments from the last year. The post started with a still of Biles and Owens posing in a stadium, while the post also featured her twin sister, Adria Biles; fellow gymnasts Zoe Miller and Jordan Chiles; her Paris Olympic gold-winning team; and the Gold Over American Tour squad, but her husband was the highlight as she shared multiple pictures of him.

Sharing the pictures, Simone Biles captioned:

Biles won three gold medals and a silver at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

Simone Biles‘ incredible success with Team USA at the 2024 Olympic Games has seen her nominated as one of the finalists in the 2024 Texan of the Year award as she prepares to be honored by her home state.

The artistic gymnast claimed gold in the team, all-around and vault events in Paris, as well as adding a silver on the floor to bring her career haul to 11 medals in the Summer Games and to leave no doubters to her greatness after her turbulent 2020 campaign in Tokyo.

The 27-year-old then embarked on her Gold Over America Tour (GOAT) across the United States to continue to perform her skills and to promote her sport too, as she bathes in the shine of her glory.

Despite the medal haul from Europe and adoration across the nation, the nomination for Texan of the Year might be her favorite one through her staunch patriotism and passion for the Lone Star State that she grew up in and is building a home in.Simone Biles

The successes continue to come pouring Biles’ way after her determined 2024 too, as the star finds herself honored as the AP Female Athlete of the Year runner-up behind the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark.

Biles earned 25 votes to finish 10 behind the WNBA icon, and a long way ahead of Imane Khelif in third-place, who won just four. The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani won the AP Male Athlete of the Year too.

Biles earned 25 votes to finish 10 behind the WNBA icon, and a long way ahead of Imane Khelif in third-place, who won just four. The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani won the AP Male Athlete of the Year too.

The 4ft 8in gymnast earned recognition for her performances, and also for her awareness regarding mental health after she backed out of the Olympics in Japan after suffering the twisties before staging her fightback in 2024.

“Everybody’s mental health journey is unique,” Biles told CNN’s Coy Wire. “I’m not the poster child for it, but I’ll support (anyone’s) mental health journey.

“Now people come up to me and they’re like, ‘I’ve been in therapy for the first time in my life, and thank you so much’. There’s power in that. And I just know I’m helping people out there.”

Simone Biles is flipping the script once again—this time, it’s all about her hair! From changing the way people think about mental health to proving that age is just a number with her Olympic victories at 27, she’s always ahead of the game. And of course, her style is always on point, whether it’s with fashion statements or rocking a fresh new look. Now, when it comes to her hair, Simone’s not shy about it. She’s been known to say, “Don’t come for me about my hair,” and honestly, we get it. Her hair is gorgeous, and right now, she’s fully in her bob era.

On November 19, after wrapping up her GOAT Tour, Simone shared a selfie on Instagram Stories, showing off her new chin-length bob. It’s got soft waves and a deep side part, a total switch-up from the long middle-parted hair she’s been sporting all summer and fall. She didn’t just stop at the hair though, she paired it with a super chic off-duty outfit: a black long-sleeve jersey shirt worn as a mini dress and thigh-high silver boots. And of course, those eye-catching necklaces of hers just took the whole look to the next level. Talk about slaying it.

Fast forward to November 30, and Simone shared another mirror selfie, this time with her husband, Jonathan Owens. They were dressed down in neutral sweatpants and long-sleeve shirts, but once again, Simone’s bob was the star. She styled it with soft curls at the edges, giving it that effortlessly chic vibe. “I cut my hair,” she captioned the shot, and it was clear she was loving the new look. Just a few days before, she wore her hair in a high ponytail for Jonathan’s Thanksgiving Day football game. Simone’s switching things up, and it’s looking amazing.

Long distance is not easy on the wallet.

Being a famous couple is hard as it is. The spotlight is constantly on you and your spouse, with every one of your movements being followed by the global media. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens know what that’s all about. The legendary gymnast and NFL player have seen their marriage’s popularity grow by the second, and they’ve welcomed it for the most part.

Given how likable both Biles and Owens are, most of their press is good press. They seem to be okay with the media spotlight, so it hasn’t put a strain on their marriage. What has put a strain on their relationship, though, has been the time spent apart. Given their demanding and ever-changing schedules, they have spent an inordinate amount of their time in a “long distance marriage“.

Simone Biles

Biles has a mansion in Houston, and she has mentioned that her heart is in Texas. Her hometown and residence is Spring, Texas after all. But due to Owens playing for the Chicago Bears, Owens lives in the Windy City. In order to see each other frequently, Biles would have to move to Chicago permanently, but she has had other priorities, like her Gold Over America Tour, plus the Olympics in the summer.

Simone Biles does anything to see Jonathan Owens, even for a day

Given all of that, Biles recently revealed to Us Weekly that she sometimes takes a day trip on a plane just to see Owens. That’s exactly what she did for Thanksgiving this year.

According to information gathered by Essentially Sports from Amalfi Jets, the company Biles uses to charter private jets, those flights could cost up to $10,000 round trip.

Now, Biles and Owens make plenty of money from their jobs and endorsements, but those types of luxuries can add up. It goes to show that for love, both Biles and Owens are willing to do anything.

Traveling together is often the best way to get to know someone. And if you’re bunking beds for two whole months together, while also performing together every week all over the country, the bond will only be even stronger. While Simone Biles is obviously feeling the blues with the Gold Over America Tour coming to an end, the 7x Olympic champ also can’t stop being grateful for the whole experience.

Led by the 27-year-old, Team USA’s stars hit the road just days after the 2024 Olympics for the second edition of the pop-styled gymnastics show. Now that the dust has settled, the GOAT of gymnastics once again had to share her note of appreciation with her enigmatic colleagues.

Simone Biles

In her Instagram story on November 18, Biles gave thanks to the people who made the Gold Over America Tour a reality after a gap of three years. Sharing her original IG post, Simone wrote, “Thank you @magicspace_entertainment for believing in my wildest dreams and making them a reality.” Noting how the gymnasts would find it difficult to bring more exposure to the sport without the organizers’ support, Biles gushed, “much love y’all.” In her original post, Biles also nodded her hat at the fans who never failed to fill up the venues that the touring band of gymnasts visited over the past couple of months.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this journey after the success we had in Paris,” wrote Simone in her social media update from November 18. Mentioning how the athletes made tons of memories together while on tour, she went on to express her gratitude to the gymnastics connoisseurs for doing their part in helping her to continue doing what she loves.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride for Simone Biles ever since the 2024 Paris Olympics ended. Traveling the country with her Team USA mats for the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour and doing shows across the nation has been a grueling but fulfilling experience for the gymnastics GOAT. Naturally, she was feeling the blues when the 30-show-long tour finally ended. But thankfully, some people can help her smile even during her sadness.

In her Instagram story from November 11, Biles wished her “twin” a happy birthday and seemed to be in good spirits. In her latest social media update, the Houston native was seen grooving with her WCC buddy Zoe Miller, a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist. On Monday, Miller turned 19 and now stands on the verge of her teenage years. Understandably, Biles felt somewhat upset at her gymnastics successor’s growing up.

Simone Biles

Stop growing up…my heart,” wrote Biles in her IG story with a sad-looking emoji, capturing her feelings on the matter. Although Miller is much younger than Simone, the two have quite some time together at the gym owned by the Olympic gold medalist’s parents. Their reunion happened after a long time, and Biles marked the occasion by noting that the “double trouble is back.” Before this year’s Winter Cup, Miller sustained a severe shoulder injury, that prompted her to bid goodbye to elite gymnastics. Naturally, Biles elation at being at Zoe’s side to celebrate te latter’s birthday isn’t unjustified. However, Biles’ recent days have been a streak of heartbreak nonetheless.

A bumpy ride for Simone Biles

The recent Presidential election of the USA was one of the biggest reasons behind Biles’ frowns in the past few days. As the entire nation waited with batted breath to see who will be taking charge of things at the White House for the next four years, Biles pledged her support to Kamala Harris on social media, making it clear that she won’t be one to lend support to Donald Trump. While her wishes didn’t pan out, Biles made a last ditch plea to the exiting POTUS Joe Biden to do something titular before leaving his office.
