Jade Carey has been the talk of the town, and for good reason. She’s just been named a finalist for the AAI Award, an honor given to the top senior female gymnast in the country. But if there was any doubt about her dominance, she erased it on March 15. Two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, who competes for Oregon State delivered a career-best 39.925, with perfect 10s on beam and floor. That’s 14 perfect 10s in her NCAA career, a program record. She’s already a two-time Olympian, an NCAA champion, and a Pac-12 legend. And now? She just dropped personal news that had Simone Biles reacting instantly.

Jade Carey had one more perfect moment to share; this time, it wasn’t on the mat. After a season of record-breaking performances, the 24-year-old took to Instagram with a personal announcement. She posted a series of photos with Aimee Sinacola, who, according to her LinkedIn, works as the Director of Creative Content at the University of Oregon. Carey dropped a simple yet heartfelt caption: “Happy 🤍🔐✨💌.

Their bond wasn’t exactly a secret. Sinacola’s Instagram has been filled with moments with Jade Carey together since 2023. But the post by Jade Carey just made things clear, which had a collection of snapshots, each telling a different piece of the story. In one nighttime photo, Carey smiled brightly with Aimee Sinacola, wearing a blue t-shirt and holding what seemed to be her Paris Olympics Bronze Medal, which she won in a Vault Individual. Was it after a competition? A celebration? Either way, the joy was undeniable.

Another image showed Carey and Aimee Sinacola taking a selfie near a body of water, with a massive arch bridge looming in the background. The cloudy sky set a moody tone, but Carey’s playful puckered-lip expression and Sinacola’s warm smile made the moment feel anything but cold. Were they exploring a European city? It sure looked like it.Simone Biles wins record ninth national championship and qualifies for Olympic trials

Then came a mirror selfie, simple, every day, but meaningful. Standing in what looked like an apartment entryway, Carey wore a white top and jeans, Sinacola darker clothing with bright red shoes. Just a casual moment, but the kind that speaks volumes.

And finally, a snapshot inside a quirky café, complete with tennis rackets on the wall, colorful posters, and even a skeleton decoration in the window. They sat together, looking at something—maybe a phone, a bag, or perhaps just each other. The gymnastics world took notice, but it was Simone Biles who summed it up best with just two words: “Freaking cuuuuuute❤️.”

Jade Carey and Simone Biles have always had nothing but respect for each other. Teammates. Competitors. Champions. They’ve shared podiums, Olympic triumphs, and the unrelenting pursuit of greatness. But off the mat?

They’re just as quick to celebrate life’s big and small moments!

Jade Carey and Simone Biles share a strong bond

What defines a champion? For Jade Carey and Simone Biles, it’s not just about gold medals but it’s about trust, and lifting each other when the weight of expectation feels unbearable. Carey knows that feeling all too well. At the Tokyo Olympics, she faced heartbreak in the vault final, finishing last after a misstep on her first run.

But she refused to let it break her. The next night, she delivered a career-defining floor routine, clinching gold. And who was there, urging her to shake off the disappointment? Biles.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are proving that their love story is just getting started. After an unforgettable honeymoon in South Africa, the gymnastics icon dropped a mysterious six-word message that has fans buzzing: “Never in one place too long .”

Just weeks after finally embarking on their long-awaited honeymoon on February 15, Biles and Owens treated their followers to a glimpse of their luxurious getaway. From breathtaking landscapes to romantic wine toasts, their honeymoon was nothing short of spectacular. Biles even shared a stunning Instagram photo of herself poolside, captioning it, “What day is it?”-because when you’re in paradise, who needs a calendar?

The couple explored the beauty of South Africa, immersing themselves in luxury and adventure. However, their trip wasn’t just about indulgence. They also visited a regional daycare center founded by Obert, which supports 87 children in need. Biles expressed admiration for the initiative, highlighting their commitment to giving back even while on vacation.Simone Biles

A spontaneous dream of a new home?

In a playful moment, Biles hinted at an impulsive real estate decision, posting a picturesque oceanfront view and casually suggesting, “Ugh, let’s just buy a house here.” Though it may have been said in jest, her love for Cape Town was evident. The thought of the Olympic champion owning a retreat in South Africa doesn’t seem entirely far-fetched.
With their honeymoon now behind them, Biles and Owens seem eager for their next chapter. The power couple has been inseparable, and it’s clear that their adventure is far from over. Fans are left wondering: where will they go next? One thing is certain-wherever they land, they’ll do it in style and with love.

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is making waves on social media after sharing a stunning poolside photo on Instagram.

The gymnast posed in a leopard-print bikini, showcasing her confidence and style. The post quickly caught the attention of fans—and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens.

“My queen,” Owens wrote, accompanied by fire and heart emojis.

Biles’ fans flooded the comment section with admiration.

“Your best photo is always the next,” one user wrote.

“Wish I was you!! Omg,” another gushed.

Others couldn’t help but praise her physique.

“Simone, let me borrow the abs,” one jokingly requested.

A different fan pointed out her love for South Africa.

“That’s it, you really love South Africa a lot,” a commenter added.

“Beautiful Queen, continue to be you,” an admirer shared.

“How did you manage to heal a belly button piercing as a competitive gymnast?” one curious follower asked.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens embark on a romantic honeymoon in South Africa

The trending photo comes as Biles and Owens embark on their long-awaited honeymoon, two years after tying the knot.

The couple, who married in April 2023, initially had a small courthouse wedding before celebrating with a larger ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Biles has documented their adventure-filled getaway, posting images of their luxurious accommodations and thrilling safari experiences.

Their trip has been full of unforgettable encounters. Biles shared photos of elephants, zebras and even a close-up with a lion.

Biles continues to share not only her adventures, but also her love and happiness with her husband. Fans are eagerly following along, celebrating this new chapter in her life.

The Olympic gold medalist and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, finally took their honeymoon after tying the knot two years ago

Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens finally went on their honeymoon after two years of marriage!

Biles shared photos from their trip to Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 16, documenting their travels as they flew from the U.S. to South Africa. She began the series with pictures of herself and the Chicago Bears player surrounded by multiple giant suitcases as well as several adorable snaps from the airplane.

The 27-year-old gold medalist then shared a photo of herself and Owens clinking champagne flutes with a hotel suite in the background. “Made it to south africa,” she wrote across the image in pink lettering.Simone Biles

“Not gonna lie I almost s—” myself,” Biles joked in the caption of a video featuring a male lion slinking past their vehicle.

Biles and Owens, 29, first met in 2020 and were engaged in February 2022. The couple tied the knot a little over a year later in April 2023 at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston. A few weeks later, they hosted a second wedding celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

While speaking to the Texas Monthly in June 2021, Owens revealed that he actually didn’t know who Biles was when they first met.

“I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked,” he revealed.

The ensuing years since their wedding have been jammed packed, with Owens leaving the Green Bay Packers and signing a two-year free-agent contract with the Chicago Bears. Biles, meanwhile, competed in the Paris Summer Olympics — where Owens was there to cheer her on every step of the way.

Biles joked earlier in February that she still hasn’t fully unpacked from the Olympics, where she cemented herself as the greatest of all time gymnast after winning three gold medals and one silver, for a career total of 11.

The history-making Olympic gymnast shared a glimpse into the couple’s Valentine’s Day celebrations

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens amped up the romance this week.

On Friday, the couple marked their second Valentine’s Day together since tying the knot almost two years ago.

The history-making Olympian and the football player first met through dating app Raya shortly before the pandemic in 2020, and got engaged in February of 2022. They tied the knot with two weddings, one in Houston in April 2023 and another in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the following month.

Following their Valentine’s Day celebrations, Simone took to Instagram and shared a sweet glimpse into them with fans.

She started off with a photo of her wearing a silky, baby pink dress and long braids, holding a large bouquet of massive white roses, followed by one of Jonathan wearing a colorful printed shirt.Simone Biles

The gymnast also included a photo of the roses laid down on a bed, plus a snap of Jonathan as the two enjoyed a lunch with mimosas, and lastly another photo of her holding the epic bouquet.

“Valentine’s day,” she simply wrote in her caption, and fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, though first Jonathan himself wrote: “Had the most amazing day with you,” alongside a red heart emoji.

Others followed suit with: “You look stunning! I love your dress,” and: “You look so beautiful and wonderful!!!” as well as: “The hair, the dress, you look stunning,” plus another added: “You are so beautiful.”

It’s a special, lowkey time for Simone and Jonathan, who are both on a break from their respective sports.

Simone was also recently celebrated at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year event, honoring her history-making performance at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, which came after a two-year break. For the special moment, she had her husband  by her side, plus her parents, Nellie and Ronald Biles, as well as former teammate Aly Raisman.

Simone Biles started 2024 with one mission: proving she’s not just a gymnast, she’s a living legend. When the Paris Olympics came around, she didn’t just compete—she took over, winning three golds and a silver. While she was at it, she also led the Gold Over America Tour, spreading her magic across the country. Even she was one of the highest-paid female athletes of 2024! No big deal. But is it all? Nope! If you haven’t watched her Netflix documentary Simone Biles: Rising, you’re missing out on the full backstage pass to her flipping, flying, and conquering life’s challenges like she was born in mid-air. With all she’s already done, Simone kicked off 2025 on an even higher note with new achievements.

Well, we know Simone Biles: Rising isn’t just another sports documentary—it’s a front-row seat to the ups, downs, and insane resilience of the greatest gymnast of all time. It dives into everything: the struggles, the mental battles, and the less-glamorous side of gymnastics that most people don’t see. But through it all, Simone does what she does best—she rises.

And let’s not forget her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, who’s the emotional support, standing by her side through all the pressure. If you’re a gymnastics fan (or just love a good comeback story), chances are you’ve already watched it—or, let’s be real, maybe even cried through it. So, does this docuseries deserve an award?Simone Biles

And now, the docuseries just scored a major win of its own. Yes! At the 2025 PGA Awards, Simone Biles: Rising took home the award for Outstanding Sports Program, proving that Simone isn’t just dominating the gymnastics world—she’s taking over Hollywood too. The announcement came at the PGA’s East Coast celebration in New York City, where the docuseries beat out some tough competition, including Formula 1: Drive to Survive and Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants. Safe to say, Simone just flipped her way past race cars and football players to yet another podium finish. But that’s not all! Simone Biles

Simone Biles’ comeback story just won another award

Yiannis Exarchos, Executive Director of Olympic Channel Services, summed it up perfectly, saying, “Simone Biles represents the very essence of resilience and determination.” And honestly? That’s the whole vibe of this docuseries. But here’s the kicker—this isn’t just any award for Simone Biles: Rising. It’s the 3rd one.

The happily married couple finally has plenty of time to spend together.

2024 was a special one for Simone Biles. The renowned gymnast ended up cementing her legacy at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, capturing three gold medals and one silver, becoming the most decorated Olympic gymnast in U.S. history. While Biles was in Paris, husband Jonathan Owens was cheering her on in person as much as he could.

He had some obligations with the Chicago Bears during the summer, but he made time to support her in person. Once the Olympics were over, Owens had to begin the NFL regular season, leaving very little time for the married couple to spend together in a relaxed manner. But now, they have plenty of time.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are currently in Switzerland on vacationSimone Biles

Thank you for watching

Biles and Owens are currently in Switzerland, living it up on a “second honeymoon“. While there, Biles posted an interesting picture of the couples’ drinks, which featured portraits of the two.

Fans couldn’t believe how realistic the pictures looked in their drinks. Owens appeared to have a coffee, possibly an espresso martini, while Biles’ drink was pink. Some fans even thought it was a bit “creepy”, but in reality it was a nice touch by the bartender.

As they enjoy their vacation, Biles will have to make a decision once she’s back in the states. Her gymnastics future is up in the air and she doesn’t seem all that close to a final decision. Owens, meanwhile, is under contract with Chicago for one more season.

Only the best for the best.

On Tuesday, Simone Biles revealed that she purchased a light brown Hermès Birkin bag, captioning the Instagram Story, “treated myself to a new lil bby while in new york.”

The Olympic gymnast, 27, who was in NYC for the VTEX Connect event on Monday, brought her husband, Jonathan Owens, 29, along to the store for emotional support.

“baby I was sweaaaating,” she added, referring to the big splurge.

Indeed, the famous designer bags, which were named after the late style icon Jane Birkin, come with a hefty price tag — styles similar to Biles’ will set you back around $30,000 on resale site Fashionphile.

Though she was nervous to make the purchase, this isn’t the gold medalist’s first Birkin bag.Simone Biles

After competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles celebrated becoming the most decorated gymnast in history by picking out her very first tote from the brand.

In August, Biles shared photos on her Instagram Story of her shopping trip to a Hermès location in Paris, showing different color options and then a private back room.

Though she didn’t reveal which style she chose, Biles did show off the brand’s famous orange box after securing the purchase.

A few days after the shopping spree, Biles revealed on Threads that her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, actually foot the bill for her the bag.

“don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents,” she quipped to haters. Simone Biles

Earlier this month, Biles was named Sports Illustrated 2024’s Sportsperson of the Year.

In the interview for her cover, the gymnast spoke about whether she plans on being a part of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what?,” she said. “I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”

Biles weighs her next steps after Paris Olympics

Simone Biles‘ triumphant return to the 2024 Paris Olympics solidified her legacy as the GOAT of gymnastics. After a challenging withdrawal from the 2021 Tokyo Games due to the twisties, Biles made an unforgettable comeback, securing three gold medals and one silver, becoming the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history. Her performance reminded the world why she’s a force to be reckoned with on the mat.

Despite this extraordinary success, Biles’ future in gymnastics has been shrouded in speculation. Fans eager for a definitive answer about her participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics have been left guessing. During an appearance on TODAY, Biles hinted at her aspirations, cryptically stating, “Hopefully we’re in LA together, whatever that means.” While this sparked hope for another Olympic chapter, it wasn’t a concrete commitment.

In a candid interview with Sports Illustrated after being named their 2024 Sportsperson of the Year, Biles expressed her internal conflict about continuing her Olympic journey. “If you go back, you’ll be greedy. Those are the consequences. But that’s also your decision to decide,” she shared. Reflecting on the sacrifices required to compete at the highest level, she added, “What’s really worth it? When you’re younger, it’s prom, college. Now it’s starting a family, being away from my husband.”Simone Biles

Biles balances family, fame, and the future

Biles married NFL safety Jonathan Owens in April 2023, and the couple has been each other’s biggest supporters. Owens, who signed with the Chicago Bears in 2024, was excused from training camp to be by her side during the Paris Games. Their relationship has added a new dimension to Biles’ life, making her consider the personal trade-offs of another Olympic run.

As Biles contemplates her next steps, she has hinted that the 2024 Games might mark her farewell to the Olympic stage. “I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again-and for what?” she mused. “I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”

Whether Biles competes again or not, her influence transcends the sport. She has set the standard for excellence, resilience, and grace under pressure. If Paris was indeed her last Olympic appearance, she leaves the mat as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

“When I started doing gymnastics when I was 6, I never imagined winning medals and everything I’ve been fortunate enough to do up until this point,” Biles said

Simone Biles inspired gymnastics everywhere with her recent acceptance speech!

While accepting her honor as Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year, the 7-time Olympic gold medalist gave a short, but impactful speech about her journey from junior gymnast to making history.

“When I started doing gymnastics when I was 6, I never imagined winning medals and everything I’ve been fortunate enough to do up until this point. I just wanted to have fun and hopefully get a college scholarship. I’ve kind of surpassed all of that, which is super exciting, but everyday I spend competing alongside my teammates is truly a gift, “ Biles said.Simone Biles

Taking time in her speech to give words of advice to the younger generation of gymnasts, Biles, 27, told them to push forward despite obstacles.

“No matter what life may throw at you along your journey, be the best person you can be, follow your passion, and put in the work, and you know that I see the gold within all of you,” Biles said to those in attendance, which also included long-time friend and former teammate Aly Raisman, who presented her with the honor.

Elsewhere in her acceptance speech, Biles shared loving words of thanks for her husband, Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens, and noted the rise and increased spotlight on women’s sports in 2024.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, Biles was named by Sports Illustrated as the 2024 Sportsperson of the Year, following her record-breaking performance at the Paris Olympics that served as a redemption from her early exit in the Tokyo Games where she experienced the “twisties.”Simone Biles

In the interview for the feature, Biles hinted that her time as an Olympian may have come to an end.

“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what? I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done,” the most decorated gymnast in history said of her chances competing with Team USA at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
