Floyd Mayweather Jr. stands true to his ‘Money’ moniker. The American boxer has splurged cash like you wouldn’t know and maintains a luxurious lifestyle. That’s not all. He is also smart with his money, as he continues to beef up his bank account despite hanging up his boxing gloves almost 7 years ago. He has diversified his revenue source and has zeroed in on real estate as his newest playground. The former world champion’s eye-popping $402 million real deal is a testament to it.

Mayweather Jr., 47, recently invested in the upper Manhattan area of New York City from Black Spruce Management’s Josh Gotlib. Notably, he bought more than 60 buildings featuring over 1,000 units of affordable housing space, with the overall price of the investment totaling up to $402 million. Talking about his deal, he told TMZ Sports, “Growing up, I used to dream about owning just one home by myself; when you work hard, you can achieve anything.”

Mayweather Jr., at 50-0, then turned to his Instagram Story and showcased his plaque commemorating the deal. In addition, the fans could notice bundles of dollar bills on the table as he proudly showcased the plaque card. What’s more? He also had a Hermes Himalaya bag on his next chair. And, to celebrate this incredible moment—he gifted himself a white Dior bag, which he pulled out of a designer box on the table.

In his Instagram Story, Floyd Mayweather explained, “I’m having fun, living life, making power moves every day. As you guys can see, see my plaque right here for my buildings. Check it out. Truly, truly blessed. Hustling hard, making power moves. That’s what I do. Always got to treat myself a little gift. You guys seen this? Himalaya. Just what we do another one-Dior. Money made, and you guys know the rest.”

The Real Drop reported that Mayweather Jr. wanted to provide affordable housing, and that’s the reason behind his $402 million investment. This deal deeply resonates with him as he grew up in a one-bedroom apartment in New Brunswick, New Jersey. But now, he has emerged as one of the biggest property dealers in New York City.

‘Money’ gives a motivational message on Instagram and boasts that he always has to give himself a “little gift”

After causing a stir with his $402 million real estate acquisition in New York CityFloyd Mayweather showed off one of his latest whims.

On October 16, ‘Money’ closed a deal to acquire more than 60 buildings that will provide more than 1,000 affordable housing units, making it one of the largest transactions in the city in 2024.

I’m having fun, living life, making power moves every day. As you can see, see my badge right here for my buildings, take a look. Really blessed, working hard, making power moves. That’s what I do, always got to give myself a little gift. Have you seen this? Himalaya. Just what we do, another Dior. Money earned, and you know the rest,” Mayweather posted in an Instagram story, as he showed off a Dior suitcase to match one he already had.

Mayweather Jr. wants to offer affordable housing

The properties that Mayweather acquired are located in Upper Manhattan, illustrating the boxer’s continued commitment to making dreams come true.

After retiring with a flawless 50-0 record and earning hundreds of millions in high-profile fights, his net worth is estimated at $1.2 billion, placing him among the richest athletes in the world.

This latest deal is not Mayweather‘s first foray into the New York real estate market. He previously partnered with SL Green Realty to invest in nine skyscrapers and is also involved in its bid to develop a casino in Times Square.

“I’ve worked with SL Green for many years, and Andrew Mathias is a great businessman,” Mayweather said on the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast.

Mayweather’s earnings are even more astonishing when compared to those of other athletes, to the point that he is considered the fifth highest paid athlete of all time, alongside sporting icons such as Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods.

Simone Biles’ post-Olympic journey in 2024 took her from the podium in Paris straight to the hearts of fans across America. With the Gold Over America Tour planned right after the Olympics. In September, started a unique adventure for Biles and her gold-winning teammates.

And after weeks of bringing a fusion of gymnastics and vibrant storytelling to cities across the nation, the team reached its final day. This pop concert-style show, however, was more than a performance! It became a memory-packed journey for the team, who were nothing less than one big family. And it left even the G.O.A.T herself deeply moved.

Now, days after the tour’s grand finale in Detroit, Biles is not yet out of the GOAT hangover. The Olympic star probably has had a jam-packed week; however, she chose to reflect on the unforgettable experience and the emotional highs and lows she went through for the last few weeks. Simone took to her Instagram and posted a story sharing a selfie of her making a face and captioned the story, “Welp, what a tough week… lots of feelings, but I’m gonna share some recent happies from the tour.”

Simone Biles

For the two months of the tour, Biles and her fellow gymnasts became more than just teammates. They became one large family. Performing over 30 shows, they shared endless laughs, inside jokes, and powerful performances that celebrated their skills and togetherness. Through her Instagram stories, she chose to convey her love to her teammates.

She started by posting a story with her young teammate Joscelyn Roberson, who has always idolized Biles. They both also shared a beautiful moment together recently that took over the internet. Biles also posted a picture with Jade Carey, and the two Olympians were shining bright as they smiled and hugged each other, posing for the picture. The thread of memories continued on her stories, and she posed with the other cast members of GOAT.

Biles posed with the youngest American Olympian, Hezly Rivera, who bagged her first Olympic gold at just 16 years old. The Olympian was also spotted having a good time with team members Melanie de Jesus Santos, Shane Wiskus, and Yul Moldauer. In the series of pictures, Biles particularly posted a collage of four pictures. There, the men of the team were spotted with ponies tied on top of their heads. And guess what? The hair stylist was none other than the GOAT herself. Simone captioned the story, “Pony boys, if you need a ponytail, hit me up.”

Simone shared a few more pictures, and one of them even had her posing with her father Ronald Biles, who has always been her pillar of support alongside her mother Nellie. She concluded the thread with a heartwarming group photo and an image of her posing with her besties and favorites, none other than Jordan Chiles and Joscelyn Roberson. However, as Biles did admit, behind the sparkle and smiles, everything was not that easy.

Almost two decades on from their infamous showdown in Washington DC, Kevin McBride is still very much feeling the power of Mike Tyson.

In June of 2005, the little-known Irishman shocked the world and send ‘Iron Mike’ into retirement, not just from the fight but from boxing as a whole. It would take the heavyweight icon until this year, at the age of 58, to come back for a full professional bout, only taking two exhibitions in the meantime.

But even though McBride won on the night, he says that the punches he felt that night have stuck with him. Now working as a paver, he has warned Jake Paul that there are still times that he feels the power of Tyson, almost 20 years since they stepped in the ring.

Kevin McBride made Mike Tyson quit boxing, until now

The date was June 11 2005 when Kevin McBride earned the biggest win of his life against one of the greatest of all time; Mike Tyson. While the story has been rewritten to indicate that ‘Iron Mike’ was far past his best, he still packed a serious punch, which had the Monaghan native in trouble throughout.

“It was like a Cinderella story for me,” he told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat. “Everybody said there was no way I had a chance to beat Mike Tyson because with his career and what he’s achieved, but I had a different plan in my mind.

I trained very hard for eight weeks and I even had a hypnotist work with me so that every time he would hit me I’d be smiling. I was smiling a lot! People don’t realize even when I was fighting him people ask ‘what was going through your head?’ I say ‘What the hell did I get myself into?’

“He ain’t no joke and I would have fought him for free. I was offered small money, maybe $150,000, but I couldn’t care less about that, I just wanted to get in the ring with him, it wasn’t about money at all for me when it came to Mike Tyson.”

Mike Tyson

And not only did McBride get in the ring with Tyson, but he managed to make him quit on his stool after round six. He floored the legend with Muhammad Ali watching at ringside, and made one of the world’s toughest men decide that he could no longer fight.

Kevin McBride still feels the power of Mike Tyson

However, he has a word of warning for Jake Paul as he prepares to face Tyson on Friday night. The bout has proved controversial over the 31-year age gap between the competitors, but the legendary heavyweight still packs one of the biggest punches on the planet.

Keyshawn Davis produced the best performance of his career in front of a sellout home crowd, sending a thunderous message to the lightweight division on Friday at The Scope in Norfolk, Virginia.

Davis (12-0, 8 KOs), who vowed pre-fight to follow in the legendary footsteps of Norfolk’s Pernell Whitaker, knocked down Argentina’s Gustavo Lemos three times in the second round, forcing the referee to call a halt to the action after the third knockdown. Lemos (29-2, 19 KOs) had only been defeated once before Friday’s highlight-reel setback in a razor-thin decision at the hands of Richardson Hithchins. Consequently, Davis beating Lemos in the fashion he did is a real statement in the lightweight division.

What makes the 2020 Olympic silver medalist’s win even more impressive was the size disadvantage he had in the fight. Lemos weighed in 6.4 pounds over the 135-pound limit at Thursday’s weigh-in, and by the time he entered the arena on Friday, he’d rehydrated all the way up to 155.6 pounds. Lemos was noticeably bigger than Davis in the ring, but that didn’t faze the American, who called out Gervonta “Tank” Davis for an eventual showdown following his stellar performance.

Gervonta "Tank

Davis will now likely fight for a world title in 2025. He is ranked No. 3 with the IBF and the WBO, and both title shots could be on the table in the near future. WBO officials said at their convention last month that they would consider making the winner of Friday’s fight the mandatory challenger for Denys Berinchyk. Vasyl Lomachenko’s future is unclear, which could leave the IBF title vacant as well.

On the undercard, top prospect Abdullah Mason rose from two knockdowns in the opening round to knock out Yohan Vasquez with a brutal left hand to the body in round two. The opening round of Mason vs. Vasquez was an instant contender for Round of the Year, as Mason was dropped twice in the round but also put Vasquez on the canvas across an exhilarating three minutes.

Rising star of boxing Keyshawn Davis says he is ready to take on world champions Gervonta Davis and Vasily Lomachenko; watch Keyshawn Davis take on Gustavo Lemos live on Sky Sports Main Event from 1am on Saturday morning

Keyshawn Davis says he would sign up now to fight lightweight champions Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Vasily Lomachenko but insists he doesn’t need the division’s biggest names to fulfil his destiny.

The 25-year-old American will attempt to extend his 11-0 professional record when he faces Gustavo Lemos live on Sky Sports in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Keyshawn Davis vs. Gustavo Lemos

Despite his professional career still being in its early stages, Davis’ talent is such that he is already being touted for bouts with some of the sport’s biggest stars.

The Tokyo Olympics silver medallist is not interested in fighting close friend and WBC title holder WBC Shakur Stevenson, but would welcome an opportunity against WBA champion Davis or IBF champion Lomachenko.

Asked News if he is ready for those tests, Davis replied: “I think the question is – are they ready for me?

“If they are ready to fight me, if they’re willing to fight me I will sign up. They can send me a contract and I’ll sign it.”

Asked which title holder he would most like to face, Davis, who goes by the alias ‘The Businessman’, added: “It doesn’t matter. A belt is a belt.

“The Businessman is going to turn out to be who he’s going to be. I don’t need a specific name for me to become who I need to be.

“All I need is a world title and we’re going to take it to the next level after that.”

Lightweight star Keyshawn Davis extended his record to 12-0 by posting a spectacular second-round TKO over Gustavo Lemos at The Scope in Norfolk, Virginia, on Friday. The official time was 1:08.

Davis, 25, dropped his man with a beautiful right hand counter punch in round two and Lemos was badly hurt. The Argentinian fighter rose gamely but was on his back almost immediately from a flush left hook to the jaw. The final knockdown was poetry – a multi-punch combination punctuated by a rocket right uppercut.

“We gave y’all a spectacular night,” said Davis during his post-fight interview with ESPN. “Norfolk, y’all gonna have a world champion next year. Since I’ve been a professional, I can definitely say this has been a marquee night.”

As expected, it was a battle of Davis’ finesse against Lemos’ strength and aggression. The home fighter kept the required distance in the opening round and when Lemos got too close, he was tied up and pushed off. It looked like it could be a long night, but “The Businessman” was in no mood for overtime.

Gervonta Davis

There aren’t many more levels for Davis to go through. He’s already ranked inside the top 3 at 135 pounds with three of the four governing bodies and his talent is astonishing. The lightweight division is stacked and superfights are in his future.

“A world title [is next],” said Davis. “In 2025, we’ve got big, big plans for everybody in the boxing world. Hey, Gervonta… knock, knock!”

Lemos let many people down by coming in a whopping 6.4 pounds over the lightweight limit. His plan to be a weight bully got him nowhere and he falls to 29-2.

Simone Biles has been nonstop this past year. She went from spring training to summer competition to the Olympics without so much as a chance to catch her breath. And almost immediately after the Paris Games ended, the 27-year-old was off again.

Over the course of the past two months, she has been traveling around the country with a band of fellow professional gymnasts, performing energetic artistic shows for sold out crowds. The experience has given Biles the chance to take a step back and reflect after a meaningful trip to Paris. Performing week after week in shows that, thankfully, bring “no stress” for the star has been nothing but enjoyable. “We’re having so much fun connecting, making memories that will last a lifetime, and cherishing what we did in Paris,” she recently told Harper’s BAZAAR.

Simone Biles

In the course of reflecting on her third Games—during which the athlete added three gold medals and one silver to her impressive hardware collection—Biles has come to appreciate the timing of the 2024 Olympics, in particular. This year, women’s sports across the board have seen a tremendous boost in viewership. Many women’s sporting events achieved historic numbers throughout the 2024 season, evidencing the notion that women’s sports are having a moment.

Gervonta Davis has drawn the ire of a good amount of boxing fans in 2024. Despite saddling up for a mega fight against Ryan Garcia in 2023, “Tank” took a step back in his age 30 year in the eyes of many. His decision to fight Frank Martin over the summer wasn’t met with much excitement, although Davis delivered with a scintillating KO. Boxing fans excused it, though, expecting Davis to follow it up with another big fight for his next event.

Instead, Davis announced that he would be fighting Lamont Roach Jr. in December. Roach is a fine fighter, but not a big name by any means. Boxing purists were clamoring for a Davis bout against Vasiliy Lomachenko, which seemed highly possible, but the Ukrainian opted against it; at least for now. While Loma was the one who didn’t try hard to make it happen this time, there are some who believe Davis waited until Lomachenko got old before even giving him a chance.

Gervonta Davis claimed to have ducked Vasiliy Lomachenko

An anonymous boxing official spoke to BoxingScene recently and called out Davis for ducking Lomachenko until the very last minute.

Lomachenko is still elite, evidenced by his TKO title win over George Kambosos Jr. in May, but he doesn’t have the quickness or power that made him among the most dangerous boxers earlier in his career.
